This post will just be about where we are living. It's kind of boring, to be honest. But I know some people are interested in real estate porn (Abby Luthin, I'm looking at you). Also, I feel like I would want to see where someone else was living if they moved away, not in a creepy stalker way though, okay maybe in a creepy stalker way. Anyway, look at the pictures, skip the text, whatever. Here is our new home for a month.
This is from Zoe and Wyatt's room. Notice that the lower building has an infinity pool on top. Pretty cool.
This is our dining area. When we got here, they had set up a highchair for us (that we quickly took apart) and cute dinner sets for each kid. It's weird visiting Asia and watching the kids eat for the first time off Mickey Mouse plates.
This is our living area.
Zoe and Wyatt are sharing a room. Zoe's bed has the best view in the house. At night, it's all twinkly and sparkly outside. Who needs a nightlight?
Of course they had to jump on our bed to break it. . . in. Not broken. They were burning off some energy here! Ted claims he is comfortable even though his feet hang way over the end. He says "As long as there is no footboard..."
This is the master bathroom. I guess they are ready to get hosed off. Looking out the window here, you look down at the big pool and the wading pool. Very pretty.
We had to bring some special trinkets from home.
This is Ella's room. For the first time ever, she has her own room and is super proud about it. I worry that Zoe is taking it a bit hard though, feeling rejected. But again, Zoe has the best spot in the apartment so hopefully she'll get over it.
This is our building, Great World City, from the street. Under this is a giant shopping mall with all kinds of crazy stores. Of course there is a Starbucks, a Ben and Jerry's, and a Kenny Rogers Roasters. What?
Ted and some of the kids in the big pool.
The girls were especially happy this day because they made some friends who will also be here for most of the month.
Ella is ready to jump on in.
while Mama relaxes and just takes some pics. Believe it or not, the reason I did not get in was that it was too cold. The weather here for the first two days was gray, windy, and cool. I seriously did not swim because I was chilly. Who knew?
This is the play area beside the wading pool. How smart is this? The wading pool, a play area, and BAR right beside it? They serve burgers and fries, fish and chips, and cold beer. Somerville folks, recognize any of that playground equipment?
Happy Zoe!
