The time is almost here. This is our last weekend in the city we know and love, Somerville. And how are we spending it? Scrubbing, sweeping, and packing. At least the kids are enjoying themselves in the back courtyard with a hose and a lifetime supply of Legos.
This busy weekend leads to a busier week that includes my parents' farewell visit, the final cleanup and big pack, and heading to Brooklyn for a big wedding. Then, we'll return to the 'Ville for about 36 hours before boarding the big jet to Singapore. 18 1/2 consecutive hours on a plane with 3 kids sounds like a breeze.
My original intent was to blog the whole experience of a family moving abroad for a year, including all our preparations and research, but I quickly found out that all our preparations and research took up all of our time. We've decided to start this blog once we arrive in Singapore and document that part of it, the fun stuff.
Back to work here. Suddenly today, this got very real.
Thanks for sharing. Happy trails if we don't see you!
